MARSEILLES – No serious injuries were reported after a vehicle crashed into a house in Marseilles, Wednesday morning. According to Marseilles Police Chief Brian Faber, the crash occurred just after 6 a.m. when a vehicle failed to curve to a guard rail on east Bluff and Jefferson streets, subsequently crashing into a house located on the 1300 block of east Bluff St. Four juveniles were allegedly occupants of the vehicle. Faber says they were taken to OSF Hospital in Ottawa, suffering minor injuries. Residents of the home were uninjured. The vehicle allegedly caught fire after the crash, but was immediately put out.  Chief Faber says, it was a fortunate situation. The vehicle reportedly crashed approximately five feet away from the home’s gas line, preventing an explosion. Citations were reportedly issued to the driver of the vehicle. The incident is a pending investigation.
