LELAND – A 44-year-old Leland man escaped injury after striking a cow with his truck Tuesday night. The DeKalb County Sheriff’s Office reports that around 9 PM a number of cattle had made their way onto Suydam Road west of Route 23. The driver of the truck was reportedly unable to see a black bovine in the roadway and a collision occurred. No tickets were issued and there is no word on the livestock’s condition.
