STREATOR – The Otter Creek Wind Farm Project east of Streator is expected to be completed by the end of the month. Local residents have probably started to see some wind turbines spinning their propellers. According to Paul Copleman of Avangrid Renewables, 22 wind turbines are fully erected and another 20 are in various stages of construction. The project anticipates paying local land owners and neighbors roughly $30 million over 25 years and make approximately $17 million of tax payments over 20 years. Once completed there will be a total of 42 wind turbines.
