On “Random Acts of Kindness Day,” a doctor covered patients’ co-pays

Dr. Don Rice in Lincoln, Nebraska is being hailed as a hero after he took it upon himself on “Random Acts of Kindness Day” to cover all his patients’ co-pays at Urgent Care Clinic of Lincoln.
“I think that we have a culture that sometimes forgets that we can have a much better world if we start being kinder to each other,” said Dr. Rice.
Dr. Rice covered the co-pays of nearly 80 patients; the total cost was roughly $4,000.
You love to see good deeds like this, especially from people in a position to do good. My mother is a nurse and I see the extra mile she goes for her patients frequently, so to see other healthcare professionals do things like this is nothing short of heartwarming.
