Gabby Barrett continues to shatter records, make history

After finishing third on American Idol, Gabby Barrett continues to shatter records and make history as a rising artist.
Barrett has become the first-ever female country artist to top 10 million single week streams with 11.3 million streams this week. Her debut single, “I Hope” — which was a tremendously successful independently released single before being released to country radio — continues to do numbers. To me, it sounds like a cross between the stylings of Carrie Underwood and Miley Cyrus, which is why it appeals to so many people.
The music video for “I Hope” even topped the CMT Hot 20 Countdown for the first time and has over 48 million views on YouTube alone. If there’s one person in country on whom I’m keeping a close eye, it’s Barrett.
