UTICA – More visitors will find more places to park Saturday at Starved Rock State Park. The west entrance off of Route 178 is now back open, along with the boat ramp, and lower main parking lots. Crews were busy over the last few days clearing silt and debris from the spring floods that limited capacity to the busiest state park in Illinois. The Department of Natural Resources reminds those coming to enjoy the trails and scenery to follow social distance guidelines, wear required masks inside park building and restrooms, and staying in groups of 10 or less.
