Record Number of Covid Tests Reported in Illinois Saturday

CHICAGO – The Illinois Department of Public Health says nearly 57,000 people had their coronavirus test results reported in the past 24 hours, the most so far in the pandemic.  2,356 of those tested came back positive for Covid-19 for a 4.2% positive rate.  Also on Saturday, the state said that 17 more people have died from complications of the virus.
