OTTAWA – 2 additional individuals have died from complications related to COVID-19 in LaSalle County. With the addition of these deaths, a female in her 80’s and another in her 90’s, the county has now seen 240 coronavirus related deaths since the pandemic began. The LCHD reported 96 additional COVID-19 cases as well, for a total of 8,771 cases throughout LaSalle county, with 5,904 of those now recovered. Statewide, the Illinois Department of Public Health announced 7,569 confirmed and probable cases of COVID-19 along with 139 deaths. Illinois has seen a total of 999,288 cases and 17,096 coronavirus related deaths.
