Peru receives donation for Centennial Park bandshell

PERU – The new bandshell coming to Centennial Park in Peru has been fully funded by a generous couple. The $100,000 donation came from Douglas and Rorie Schweickert. Peru Mayor Scott Harl said the project will be fully funded by the family and will be named “Schweickert Pavilion”. The city hopes they get the bandshell in use by springtime.
