Water main break in LaSalle-Peru located at high school

PERU – A water main break on the east side of Peru that began Wednesday still has many residents without water and some under a boil order. The city announced Thursday that the water issue was located at the LaSalle-Peru Township High School football locker room. Authorities say they will be flushing hydrants to help restore water service, but residents from 7th & St. Louis up to 12th & Walnut all the way to the East follow boil order guidelines until further notice. If you experience rusty water or air in your pipes, you can run your taps to clear them.
