Power restored in Oglesby, IVCC cancels evening classes

 
 
OGLESBY – Power is restored in the city of Oglesby after a malfunction left the area without electricity for the afternoon. According to Ameren Communications Executive Brian Bretsch, the cause of the outage was linked at the Oglesby substation where a piece of equipment malfunctioned. Bretsch says Ameren will continue to monitor the site for the next 24 hours. All evening classes at Illinois Valley Community College’s Oglesby Campus are canceled. Virtual classes will run as scheduled.
