SPRINGFIELD – 55 additional COVID-19 related deaths were confirmed by the IDPH on Thursday, including the death of a female in her 60s in Bureau County. 1,700 new and confirmed cases of coronavirus were confirmed as well. Since the pandemic began in the state, the Illinois Department of Public Health has reported 1,204,409 cases and 20,863 deaths. In addition, a total of 4,903,555 doses of the coronavirus vaccine have been administered in Illinois with 353,125 of those for long-term care facilities.
