Ladd Grade School students plant and clean up Matthiessen State Park for Earth Day

 
SPRINGFIELD – Students throughout Illinois will visit state parks to get their hands dirty and learn about natural areas stewardship as part of Earth Day. Ladd Grade School is on the list of participants who will venture out to Matthiessen State Park on Thursday. Students will help plant pollinator gardens and other native wildflowers and grasses, transplant tree seedlings, and assist with removing exotic plants to improve the habitat.
