MENDOTA – A rental box-truck towing a trailer was involved in two collisions Monday in Mendota. Around 1 PM Mendota Fire and Police were called to a motel off of US Route 34 near I-39 for a truck striking a building. The driver, a 64-year-old Florida woman damaged a column and tilted the awning structure upon impact. After first responders arrived, the woman also reportedly caused minor damage to a Mendota Ambulance when moving the truck and trailer. No injuries were reported.
