UNDATED – LaSalle County crops welcomed rain in North Central Illinois this past week, and they could be getting more these next few days. LaSalle County Farm Bureau President David Isermann says the corn is starting to enter into its critical pollination phase and soybeans will produce pods soon, so moisture is a necessity at this time.
Isermann’s rain order for more wet weather this week could be delivered with more rain in the forecast for tonight. The National Weather Service predicts rainfall amounts between a quarter and half of an inch possibly Friday night and showers likely on Sunday.
