OTTAWA – Authorities are investigating a body found in rural Ottawa on Tuesday. According to the LaSalle County Sheriff’s Office, they were called to the 1400 block of Illinois Route 71 where a deceased white female was located in a pit mine operated by US Silica. The investigation is ongoing by the Sheriff’s Office and the LaSalle County Coroner.
