Three vehicle crash injures two on I-39

LOSTANT – Two people were injured, one of them seriously in a three vehicle crash Friday on I-39. The Lostant Fire Department reports they were called around 11:30 AM to southbound I-39 near milepost 44 for a tractor-trailer, car and SUV collision that caused the SUV to rollover into a cornfield. Two occupants of the SUV had to be extricated, and one of the persons injured were flown from the scene by Lifeflight. The second victim was taken to an area hospital. There were no other injuries reported and the cause of the crash remains under investigation.
