Mendota football draws Durand Pecatonica in first post-season berth in seven years

MENDOTA – The 5-4 Mendota Trojans Football Team will be playing an extra football game on the road this season after qualifying for the playoffs for the first time in seven seasons. They will play Saturday in Pecatonica taking on the Durand-Pecatonica Rivermen. The Trojans are trying to bounce back after a three game skid, dropping games to Kewanee, Newman Central Catholic and St. Bede. The 8-1 Rivermen are the Northwest Upstate Illini Conference champions. You’ll be able to hear that game on Classic Country 100.1 FM WGLC at 1 PM.
