MENDOTA – The Raising Men Lawn Care Challenge representative Rodney Smith visited Mendota Thursday to present an 11-year-old with a new lawn mower, weed eater & leaf blower. Finn Sessler, son of Pat and Gary Sessler say their son worked through the hot summer to mow as many lawns for free as he could. The 6th grader tackled over 70 yards for the elderly, disabled, and veterans of Mendota.
Began by Rodney Smith in 2015, the campaign to help with yard work has moved nationwide, inspiring dozens of teens and pre-teens to give back to their community.
