PERU – Two men are facing felony drug charges after a Tri-County Drug Enforcement Narcotics Team investigation into drug sales in and around Peru. Last Friday, the Trident Drug Task Force, assisted by the LaSalle and Livingston County Sheriff’s Offices, Peru Police Department, and LaSalle Police Department took 42-year-old Hector A. Ramirez-Flores into custody after a number of alleged controlled purchases of purported cocaine. Also arrested was 36-year-old Jose F. Rodriguez of LaSalle. Both were charged with Unlawful Delivery of a Controlled Substance – Cocaine, a Class X Felony. The pair were taken to the LaSalle County Jail and are being held on million dollars bond each.
TRIDENT consists of LaSalle, Streator, Princeton, Oglesby, Ottawa and Mendota Police Departments along with LaSalle, Bureau and Putnam County Sheriff’s Offices.
