Rt 47 crash kills Morris woman

DWIGHT – One person is dead after a two vehicle crash in Grundy County Thursday. The Grundy County Coroner’s Office was called along with the Grundy County Sheriff’s Office to Illinois Route 47 in Dwight around 9AM for the collision between a semi-tractor trailer and a passenger vehicle. According to authorities, the tractor trailer was traveling northbound when the vehicle allegedly exited a driveway. The semi was unable to stop, striking the vehicle on the driver’s side. The name of the deceased individual, a woman from Morris,  is not being released until next of kin has been notified.
