EAST PEORIA – The Putnam County Sheriff has been sworn in as the next president of the Illinois Sheriffs’ Association. Sheriff Kevin Doyle took the oath at the Sheriffs Winter Training Conference in East Peoria. He was elected Putnam County Sheriff in 1998 and is currently serving his sixth term. Sheriff Doyle is in his 29th year of Law Enforcement. After receiving his bachelor’s degree in Social Justice from Sangamon State University, he began his career as a deputy for the Putnam County Sheriff’s Office. He has also served on the Executive Board for the Illinois Sheriffs’ Association since 2015.
