Titanic discussion event coming to LaSalle Library

LASALLE – A bestselling author who has won numerous awards on historical events will be the guest of a virtual discussion at the LaSalle Library about the doomed ocean crossing of the Titanic. Author and Historian, William Hazelgrove will lead the event on Tuesday, March 8th at 6 PM. His recent book, “One Hundred and Sixty Minutes: The Race to Save the RMS Titanic”, is about all the time rescuers would have before the ship slipped beneath the icy Atlantic, killing scores of passengers. In this virtual program, hear the story of the network of wireless operators, on land and sea, who desperately sent messages back and forth to mount a rescue mission.
