Mailboxes demolished after Mendota crash

MENDOTA – Two mailboxes in downtown Mendota were demolished after a crash Saturday night. The Mendota Police Department say around 10:20 PM both boxes located on Veterans Parkway adjacent to the park were struck by a motor vehicle. It may take a couple of days to replace both boxes, and the Post Office is reminding residents that the other drop boxes around town remain available for use.
