SENECA – One person was life-flighted after being injured in an explosion in Seneca on Saturday. The Illinois State Police and Illinois Conservation Police say they were called to Spring Brook Marina around 4:30 PM for a fire and explosion involving a boat in the water. There were 17 people on the boat, according to authorities, and 13 were transported to local hospitals with non-life-threatening injuries. One marina employee was also transported to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. The incident is still under investigation by the Illinois State Police, Seneca Police and Illinois Department of Natural Resources Conservation Police.
