OTTAWA – Eastbound Interstate 80 in Bureau County will close overnight on Thursday to repair a guardrail at the bridge over Maple Grove Creek in Princeton. The closure is between the Illinois 40 interchange (exit 45) and the I-8O interchange (exit 61) from 9 p.m. to 4 a.m. on Friday morning. A posted detour will direct traffic to use Illinois 40, U.S. 6 and I-80.
Work in continuing to replace the I-80 bridges that cross Maple Grove Creek. Traffic is reduced to one lane in each direction throughout the $2.5 million project, which is scheduled to be completed by fall.
