STREATOR – The city of Streator approved an agreement with their public service workers on Wednesday. According to City Manager Dave Plyman the new four-year agreement with the American Federation of State, County and Municipal Employees Local 1592 includes a minimum 2.5% cost of living increase per year for certain personnel. Lower paid personnel will get a $2 hourly increase to reflect the most recent increases in the minimum wage, as well as two additional $1 per hour increases later in the contract to reflect already approved future minimum wage increases. The contract also increases the compensatory time bank from 60 hours to 80 hours per year.
