SPRINGFIELD – The Illinois State Police on Tuesday clarified what they define as essential travel.
To and from work if you are an essential worker.
Purchasing groceries or food and to deliver those items.
Travel care for a loved one.
Seeking emergency services, obtain medical supplies or medicine, or for a doctor’s appointment.
The state police encourage you to do the right thing and ask yourself the question: “Is this trip essential?” If it’s not, they say please stay home.
