Ladd awarded safe routes to school grant

LADD – The village of Ladd was awarded a safe route to school grant from the Illinois Department of Transportation. The approved project includes new and replacement sidewalks for children in the community to reach school safely. New sidewalks will be coming to the north side of Locust Street and west side of Peru Avenue. Near the school on Cleveland Street, signs with flashing beacons will be installed, along with more warning signs for the school crosswalks.
