Won my first IBA this year.
While working for country radio in Phoenix, got to meet many artists when they were promoting their first record, Kenny Chesney, Faith Hill, LeAnn Rimes, Tim McGraw, and more. Others I met when they came to tour, Alabama, Oak Ridge Boys, Patty Loveless, Pam Tillis, Buck Owens.
– Any family shout-outs:
I’m the black sheep of my family and I like it that way. So, no shoutouts. I can barely get a Facebook reply from some of them.
– What inspired you to become a DJ?
Duh, I like to talk. I’m an entertainer at heart, love to make people laugh.
– Are you from the Illinois Valley? If yes, what’s his favorite thing about the region? If not, what attracted you here?
I used to have tons of favorites, but they are all gone or changed way too much; Peru Mall, river watching on Water St, driving backroads, not seeing a house for miles. Thats all gone or changed too much.
– Favorite kind of music/artist?
Depends on my mood. Country leans toward classic country, 1990’s and earlier. Rock, Classic Rock. Lately I’ve had a thing for Olivia Rodrigo. So, my taste can wander.
– Favorite food?
A big fat juicy steak. Chocolate. And lately, Pringles.
– What do you like to do on your free time?
Read, Stream TV shows. I make cards, quilted ornaments and I want to learn to crochet.
