MENDOTA- The 73rd annual Sweet Corn Festival Queen and Mini-Pageant has been postponed out of caution due to a rise in coronavirus cases in Mendota. The event will be held at a date to be determined later, according to Mendota Chamber CEO Katie Fox. The 50/50 tickets will continue to be for sale until Sunday, August 9th at 4pm. Completed 50/50 tickets can be turned in at the Water Bill drop off box on Illinois Ave. Winning ticket will be drawn at 5pm. The collectible ‘Cornantined’ festival T-shirt is still available to be ordered online until August 9th.
